Bullet Train Review: The train is here and it brings, hilarious moments but a convoluted story

An action, comedy directed by David Leitch about 5 assassins on a train when all their stories intertwine leading to the mastermind behind it all

THIS REVIEW HAS SPOILERS. LEAVE OR BE SPOILED
Bullet Train, directed by David Leitch, is about Ladybug( Played by Brad Pitt), who is sent on a mission to retrieve a briefcase on a bullet train in Japan. But he's interrupted by multiple assassins on the train, and he has to kill the assassins and get off the train.
I remember watching the trailer for Bullet Train in theaters around March 2022, thinking that this movie would be decent and another generic action movie, but it was stunning upon watching. The comedy was hilarious, and the cameos in the film like Ryan Reynold, Channing Tatum, and Karen Fukuhara were funny to see. The cinematography wasn't bad except for some scenes where the sun would shine on the camera, and you wouldn't be able to see what was happening. The pacing in this movie fits the film, and Zak Olkewicz perfectly wrote the story; everything in the story just connected perfectly, but around five storylines were going on at once, so it made the movie feel longer than it should've been. Every minor detail shown would pay off in the end. For example, the Water bottle Ladybug spiked with sleeping powder; later in the movie, Lemon would drink the water and pass out. All the details were done exceptionally well, and the acting from the whole cast was terrific. I love the aesthetic of the movie. How it was vibrant and colorful combined so well with the comedy because the majority of the assassins are not Japanese, so they are also trying to figure out what means what, and it works well also.
I also loved Japan's setting and how some American music like Stayin alive by the Bee Gees is played in Japanese. In my opinion, the best acting in this movie goes to Aaron Taylor Johnson as Tangerine and Brain Tyree Henry as Lemon. They work so well as a duo; it was interesting to see how they reacted to each other's death. Tangerine thought Lemon was dead and would do anything to avenge him but, in the end, got himself killed by Ladybug. While Lemon, who survived getting shot by Prince( Played by Joey King), saw Tangerine dead, would explain to his body which Thomas the Tank Engine character he was. This was a joke throughout the movie about which Thomas the Tank Engine character each Assassin was. I enjoyed Bullet train, and I will certainly be watching it again. I give Bullet train a 9/10 and recommend you to watch it if you haven't.
