Everything Everywhere All at Once Review: Everything in this movie is brilliant and eccentric

An action, comedy Directed by Daniel Kwan and Dan Scheinert about a woman with her who gets told that she is the only person that can save the multiverse and she has to unlock her full potential to save the multiverse

THIS REVIEW HAS SPOILERS. LEAVE OR BE SPOILED
Everything Everywhere All at Once is beautifully written and directed by Daniel Scheinert and Dan Kwan. This movie is about a Chinese woman named Evelyn wang (played by Michelle Yeoh) who is running a laundromat and has a failing marriage with her husband, Waymond wang (played by Ke Huy Quan). Evelyn is soon tasked with saving the Multiverse from her daughter Jobu Tupaki (played by Stephaine Hsu). Michelle Yeoh and Stephaine Hsu both play their characters wonderfully, the emotion they give off in every fight, and every conversation seems so natural. Ke Huy Quan also gives a fantastic performance, he can play a shy and goofy husband that seems like he has no innate intelligence, and he can also play a man who is just an absolute savior. I think the most outstanding performance in this whole movie is Stephaine Hsu as Jobu Tupaki/ Joy Wang. I love their take on the theory of the Multiverse, and the way they tackle this idea is unique and something I've never seen.
Throughout the movie, we see the camera pan to things like a vent in the ceiling or the characters would make say something that sounds like it is not relevant to the movie. Still, later in the film, it would play a significant part in what they said would pay off and show up in the movie later. I love the comedy in this film, like when Evelyn mixes up Ratatouille with a raccoon and calls it Racacoonie. When Evelyn is fighting Jumpers, they try to get abilities by shoving a weirdly shaped employee of the month award up their butts. This film does not try too hard to be funny like most other comedy films. I also love the action in this film. The choreography is impressive.
For example, when Alpha Waymond is fighting the IRS security guards with a fanny pack or Eveyln is fighting the Jumpers. All these are fantastic, especially with the blend of their special effects; with a budget of 25 million dollars, it feels like the budget is higher with all the special effects because it is so damn good. I have so much to say about this movie that I cannot express in words, but this movie is so good. The film's themes are like nothing matters, or that kindness is the key. Many other themes are just perfect and can blend in well with this film, The emotion you can hear in the characters, like when Evelyn, Waymond, and Joy are fighting in the parking lot, there is so much raw emotion that can make you cry. But the only problem with this movie is that it has too much going on; there are multiple universes they talk about once, and it can be confusing the first time you watch the movie, but after a bit, you will get used to it. I have no more to say about this movie except that this is a must-watch movie and if you want to watch a film that can make you upset, happy, grossed out, or just everything all at once, then this movie is perfect for you. Everything Everywhere at once is a 9.5/10 film and should get the recognition it deserves.
