Top 5 Most Anticipated films of 2023 and what I think they will gross at the box office

Looking into the future of 2023,we have a variety of over 50+ movies coming out this year and I have singled out what I think is the top 5 most anticipated films.

Number5: Scream VI (March 10 2023)

Scream VI, we see Ghostface leaving.

Woodsboro and heading New York City to find new victims. Scream having another movie added to the franchise seems unnecessary, but the IP is well known, so another movie was bound to happen. Scream VI, from the trailers, appears to reference older scream movies which will bring more people to watch the film due to nostalgia and the possibility of the older actors reprising their roles once again (Similar to Jurassic World Dominion). The cast of Scream VI has one name that caught my eye: Jenna Ortega. Jenna Ortega starred in the hit show 'Wednesday' which blew up on Netflix, Tik Tok, and Twitter, and due to her rising popularity, Scream VI will be a box-office success.

Number 4: Cocaine Bear (February 24 2023)

Cocaine Bear is based on a true story( Can you believe that!) The movie is centered around a group of cops, criminals, tourists, and teens that converges in a Georgia forest where a 500-pound black bear goes on a murderous rampage after ingesting cocaine. This movie will be hilarious. Who wouldn't want to see a bear eat cocaine and go on a murderous rampage? This movie is appealing to Teens, Adults, and possibly Seniors because it has a great concept, and the Late Ray Liotta stars in this film. If I had to estimate how much Cocaine bear will gross at the box office, I would assume around 200-300 million at the box office.

Number3: Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (June 30 2023)

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will have Harrison Ford reprising the role of Indiana Jones in the fifth installment of the franchise one last time. So far, there is no synopsis of the story, but people don't need to know what the story is. All they need to know is Indiana Jones is returning. The IP is arguably the top 10 most well-known franchise in history with the iconic theme by John Williams(This is also the last soundtrack he is composing). It is a perfect end to the franchise. This movie will appeal to all ages, Children, Teens, Adults, and Seniors. This movie will gross around 800 - 1 billion dollars at the box office.

Number 2 :Oppenheimer (July 21 2023)

Just by looking at the cast and director, Oppenheimer will be a success. Oppenheimer is about the story of American scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer and his role in developing the atomic bomb. Christopher Nolan is going to bring CINEMA to all theaters. This movie is definitely the movie that I am most excited about this year. The cast of this movie is filled with well-known actors, including Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey JR, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Gary Oldman, Jack Quaid, Kenneth Branagh, Rami Malek, Josh Peck, David Dastmalchian, Alden Ehrenreich, Alex Wolff, and Devon Bostick. This movie should gross over 1 billion dollars, most definitely.

Number 1: The Flash(June 16 2023)

The Flash was announced by Warner Bros in 2015 and had a planned release in 2018. It is not my most anticipated film this year, but I want to see how it plays out due to the movie's controversy and problems. For example, the star of the film Ezra Miller was in the news around Aug 2022-Jan 2023 for many crimes he committed, The Flash has had multiple directors and script changes, and the story's synopsis is still unclear. Still, it should be loosely based on the Flashpoint comic storyline. This movie will appeal to Teens and Adults. This movie is just another nostalgia grabber, just like Scream VI. They are bringing back a 70-year-old Michael Keaton as Batman just because. This movie should gross around 700-800 million dollars due to the controversy surrounding this film.
